her she swallowed it. Should I expect any negative effects? could this be serious? My german pointer swallowed a whole baby squirrel that was blown out of its nest. When I tried to get it from
Nope, all is well. He's just doing what comes naturally.
Do you think wolves eat dry kibble? IT'S FINE!!My german pointer swallowed a whole baby squirrel that was blown out of its nest. When I tried to get it from
Did she burp?
No, it will be healthy for your dog- obviously not healthy for the squirrel. Dogs are made to eat smaller animals, not the commercial stuff we feed them for convenience. (I feed commerical stuff, too, but when I have time they get real food.)
Lots of people feed their pets healthy, raw meat diets nowadays.
He should be fine. Teaching him to chew might be a good idea.
The best thing to do would be to call your local vet. They would give you the best answer. That is a bigger dog and it may not do anything but just to make sure call your dogs vet. Hope everything is fine.
no can i borrow her to get mine out of my yard and garage
I would think that if your doggie is up to date on her vaccinations that she would be fine. Dogs are carniverous, after all, but it's an excellent choice to take her to the vet anyway.
i think it's pretty serious... i think u should bring her to the vet. lol i'm feeling sry for the squirrel
Probably not..usually dogs will chew before they swallow things....so...unless it tries to climb trees guess you are all right...April Fools....
As long as your dog poops, then there is no blockage and should be ok. If your dog becomes lethargic, get to the vet!
I've had cats swallow birds and mice whole without chewing with no bad effects.
I shouldn't worry too much. Do You live in an area with a high level of toxicity? ie Lots of Factories etc.
If it is a plesant environment then don;t worry but just keep an eye on Your Dog, observe Him and His poo(when You pick it up) if nothing changes then don't worry. Good Luck.
Also, maybe think about some obedience lessons so that when You say Leave it!, He will and avoid this worry.
no
Only for the squirrel.
No wont affect anything It is natural for animals to eat one another But you may want to go to the vet just in case
It'll be fine as long as therre was no poisens in the Squirrel just pay a visit to the vet or call on the phone to make sure
I used to have a Newfoundland that always found baby rabbits and ate them like popcorn. She never got sick, I felt sorry for the bunnys.
meh... just a pile of stinky sh** after its all digested and ready to come out
The negative effect is that the squirrels parents lost their baby.
Other than that, I don't think it would be overly bad for your dog.
You must live somewhere warm.
